Hong Kong warned to secure SAF supply or risk losing aviation hub status

Hong Kong's Chief Executive's Policy Unit head warned that the city must secure a reliable, certified supply of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to maintain its international aviation hub status. The warning follows the government's first five-year plan and policy address outlining a fuel strategy, amid global competition for SAF. The risk is that without SAF, Hong Kong could lose airline routes and investment to rivals like Singapore.
