Indonesia's worst fires in years spread toxic haze across Southeast Asia
Published 1 d ago3 sourcesEvidence: Reported
Indonesia's disaster agency conducted a trial of dry ice technology to disperse toxic haze from forest fires, improving visibility at South Sumatra airport from 650 to 2,800 meters. The method is experimental and its effectiveness in reducing health hazards remains unproven. This could offer a new tool for mitigating recurring transboundary haze crises in Southeast Asia.
