Belgium Extends Night Shift Premium in Logistics, Eases Rules for New Hires

Belgium has implemented new night work rules in distribution and related sectors since June 1, narrowing the night shift window to 11 PM–6 AM for new employees, while maintaining the premium for existing staff. Unions and employers in joint committee 140.03 agreed on Thursday to keep the premium for new hires, a move aimed at boosting e-commerce competitiveness. The change is a domestic labor policy adjustment with limited direct market impact.
