Tillis calls Trump's Paxton endorsement in Texas primary 'colossal mistake'

Senator Thom Tillis publicly criticized President Trump's endorsement of Ken Paxton over incumbent John Cornyn in the Texas Senate Republican primary, warning it jeopardizes the party's hold on the seat. The criticism marks a notable intra-party rift, with Tillis, a frequent Trump critic, amplifying concerns about primary dynamics ahead of the general election. The impact on the November race remains uncertain, but the dispute signals potential Republican discord.
