Bahamian minister urges cruise lines to direct more visits to Port Lucaya after restaurant closure

Bahamian PLP chairman Fred Mitchell has called on Carnival and other cruise lines to allocate more Grand Bahama cruise calls to Port Lucaya Marketplace, following the closure of Agave Restaurant which displaced about 40 workers. The move signals political pressure on tourism operators to distribute economic benefits more evenly across the island, amid local job losses.
