Qatar warns 'whole world is paying' for Iran war; backs Mecca defense pact

Qatar's foreign minister stated that the ongoing Iran war is disrupting global trade and that the 'whole world is paying' the price, while confirming that mediation efforts to end the conflict remain active. Doha expressed support for the Mecca defense alliance aimed at bolstering Saudi Arabia's defenses but said it is premature to discuss joining the pact. The statement signals continued Gulf alignment against Iran while leaving room for diplomatic off-ramps.
