PT closes door to Clouthier candidacy in Nuevo León, names own Morena militant

Mexico's Partido del Trabajo (PT) has selected its own candidate for state coordinator in Nuevo León, explicitly ruling out Tatiana Clouthier, a Morena militant, for the role. This signals internal friction within the ruling coalition ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial race, as PT asserts autonomy from Morena's preferred candidate. The move could fragment the leftist alliance in a key border state.
