BNDES and iCS Partner to Expand Biome Restoration via Carbon Credits

BNDES and Instituto Clima e Sociedade signed a technical cooperation agreement to support biome recovery projects, launching ProFloresta+ 2, which expands a carbon-credit-based restoration model to all Brazilian biomes. The program targets 60,000 hectares restored, 19 million tons of CO2 captured, and R$ 6 billion in credit purchases. This signals increased public-private financing for nature-based climate solutions in Brazil.
