Romanian trade unions withdraw from public sector wage law consultations

Five major Romanian trade union confederations have withdrawn from negotiations regarding the proposed public sector wage law, citing fundamental flaws in the draft. The unions are demanding a halt to the legislative process until a new government with full constitutional powers is installed, arguing that current PNRR-linked reform efforts are insufficient to justify the proposed changes.
