Ireland's RSA funds breathalysers in pubs to curb drink-driving

The Road Safety Authority will spend €1.5m installing breathalysers in hotels and pubs, following a pilot that found 45% of motorists who believed they were under the legal limit were actually over it. This is a public-safety infrastructure measure aimed at reducing drink-driving incidents, though its effectiveness depends on voluntary usage.
