Imaging and blood tests show promise for diagnosing CTE in living patients

Researchers are advancing imaging and blood-based biomarkers that could allow definitive CTE diagnosis in living patients, a first for a disease currently confirmed only post-mortem. The techniques are in development and not yet clinically validated. If successful, this would enable earlier intervention and reshape concussion management protocols.
