Belgium marks 30th anniversary of White March, reflecting on justice system failures

Belgium commemorates the 30th anniversary of the White March, a 1996 protest of over 300,000 people in Brussels against police and judicial failures in the Dutroux case. The event is remembered as a pivotal moment of public pressure on the justice system, with former minister Stefaan De Clerck noting its 'pre-revolutionary aspect.' The anniversary prompts reflection on institutional reforms and public trust, though no new developments are reported.
