Two arrested at Quito airport with cocaine hidden in chargers

Ecuadorian authorities arrested two foreigners at Quito's airport attempting to smuggle 734 grams of cocaine concealed in portable chargers, destined for Bogotá and Madrid. The incident highlights ongoing narcotics trafficking through Ecuadorian airports, a known transit route. The arrests are routine enforcement, with no indication of broader disruption to trafficking networks.
