Nepal Flood Aftermath Raises Child Trafficking Risk as Orphans Left Vulnerable

Nearly two months after devastating floods in Nepal destroyed villages, aid workers in Uttargaya are caring for 45 children with missing parents, highlighting a growing child trafficking threat. The situation remains uncertain as rebuilding efforts are incomplete and the scale of orphaned children is not fully known. This matters because unaccompanied minors in disaster zones are highly susceptible to trafficking, requiring urgent protective measures.
