FlyDubai hijacking attempt boosts Netanyahu's security credentials ahead of election

An attempted hijacking of a FlyDubai flight is being leveraged by Israeli PM Netanyahu to bolster his re-election campaign, framing himself as the sole protector against external threats. The incident, while thwarted, injects a security-focused narrative into a tightly contested election, potentially shifting voter sentiment. The extent of the threat and its direct link to Israeli security remain unclear, but the political exploitation is evident.
