Denmark approves compensation for Greenlandic women subjected to non-consensual IUD procedures

The Danish Parliament has voted to provide 300,000 DKK in compensation to each Greenlandic woman who received an IUD without proper consent during a decades-long state-sanctioned practice. While this follows formal apologies from Danish and Greenlandic leadership, affected parties suggest this measure addresses only a fraction of the historical systemic abuse.
