Danube shipping restricted due to low water levels

Persistent drought and high temperatures have reduced water levels on the Danube, forcing the DDSG to implement restricted shipping schedules. While the waterway remains open, the reduction in draft capacity threatens to disrupt logistics and commodity transport across Central Europe.
