Romanian state railway operator CFR to absorb telecommunications subsidiary

Compania Naţională de Căi Ferate (CFR) will absorb Telecomunicaţii CFR, reversing a 24-year-old separation policy. The move follows nearly 80 million lei in cumulative losses by the subsidiary and aims to reintegrate critical railway telecommunications infrastructure under the parent company.
