Wildfire on Lesvos burns low vegetation, no threat to inhabited areas

A wildfire broke out on Sunday in an inaccessible area at Koukos, between Parakoila and Agra on Lesvos, quickly expanding due to flammable material but mainly burning low vegetation without threatening inhabited areas. Fire Department, municipalities, and volunteers are mobilized with 25 firefighters and additional resources. The situation is contained but developing; no casualties or property damage reported.
