Medical error at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown results in patient paralysis

Four surgical patients at a Nashville hospital were administered potassium instead of analgesics, resulting in severe complications and paralysis for at least two individuals. The incident is currently under investigation to determine the systemic failures that allowed the medication error to occur.
