Nigerian senators affirm Akpabio's Senate presidency seat non-vacant amid speculation

A group of Nigerian senators has publicly declared that the Senate presidency seat is not vacant, reaffirming support for Senate President Godswill Akpabio and other principal officers. This comes amid speculation that Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, an ally of President Bola Tinubu, may seek the position after his gubernatorial tenure. The declaration signals internal political maneuvering within the ruling party, but the actual vacancy remains uncertain.
