Brazil's Pix payment system exceeds transaction volume projections, plans further expansion

Brazil's instant payment system, Pix, has significantly outperformed initial transaction volume targets, currently processing 3,000 transactions per second. The Central Bank of Brazil is now scaling infrastructure to support up to 10,000 transactions per second while introducing new features like contactless and recurring payments.
