Google completes 7,000km transatlantic subsea cable linking Portugal and USA

Google has activated the Nuvem submarine cable system, a 7,000-kilometer fiber optic link between Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and Sines, Portugal. The infrastructure provides 384 terabits per second of capacity to support rising demand for cloud computing and AI workloads. This expansion strengthens trans-Atlantic data redundancy and connectivity between North America and Europe.
