FSB Arrest of US Journalist Gershkovich Detailed in New Account

Evan Gershkovich, the American journalist detained in Russia in 2023, has publicly described his arrest by masked FSB officers in a Yekaterinburg restaurant, stating he was lured into a trap. The account corroborates prior reporting on the arrest but adds new detail on the method. This is a retrospective account, not a new development, but it reinforces concerns about Russian treatment of foreign journalists.
