Italian Steel Workers Extend Strike at Ex-Ilva Plants Over Government Inaction

Unions at all former Ilva steel plants in Italy have called another 48-hour strike, citing the government's lack of response and awaiting a call to Chigi Palace. The strike continues an ongoing labor dispute over the future of the steelworks, with production halted and economic impact mounting. The government's next move is uncertain, but the prolonged stoppage threatens steel supply chains in Europe.
