US CENTCOM Launches 'Iron Gate' Task Force to Expand Iran Arms Interdiction

US Central Command (CENTCOM) has confirmed the establishment of 'Task Force Iron Gate' to interdict Iranian advanced weapons, dual-use technologies, and sanctioned materials. This initiative expands interdiction efforts beyond existing maritime blockades to include land borders and the Caspian Sea. The operational scope, specific targets, and rules of engagement for 'Iron Gate' remain largely unclear, though it signals a significant escalation in US pressure on Iran's supply networks.
