Valencia and Alicante coasts under lockdown as Dana Adam floods trigger UME deployment

The Generalitat Valenciana is preparing a lockdown order for the southern coast of Valencia and northern coast of Alicante as heavy rains from storm Dana Adam cause an emergency. The Military Emergency Unit (UME) was activated around 07:00 and has begun rescue operations in Oliva. The situation is developing, with the full extent of damage and casualties still unclear.
