Local parties gain in Swedish regional elections, reshaping municipal politics

Local parties increased their representation in Swedish municipal elections, notably in Östergötland where Linköpingslistan, Söderköpingsinitiativet, and Konsensus i Vadstena gained seats. This continues a trend of localist fragmentation in Swedish politics, potentially complicating coalition formation and policy implementation at the municipal level.
