UK threatens to expel 27 Israeli diplomats if Jerusalem consulate closure stands

Britain has warned Israel that it will expel 27 Israeli diplomats from London if Israel proceeds with closing the British Consulate in East Jerusalem, where 27 British diplomats are stationed. The threat, conveyed via the British Ambassador, escalates a diplomatic dispute and draws a parallel to UK treatment of Russia. The outcome hinges on whether Israel revokes the closure decision, with no indication of a compromise yet.
