Trump reportedly asks Musk to lift Starlink restrictions for Ukraine

Unnamed WSJ sources report that President Trump asked Elon Musk to lift Starlink restrictions affecting Ukraine, and that service normalized shortly after the conversation. The account is contested: Musk reportedly ordered the restriction, but Zelenskyy attributes the block to U.S. authorities, and prior reporting suggests Trump and Musk discussed the matter in advance. This signals potential U.S. policy shift on Ukraine connectivity, with implications for battlefield communications and U.S.-Ukraine relations.
