Trump says Canada will become 51st state, on campaign trail

During campaign rallies in Montana and Arizona on 14 October, former President Trump stated that Canada will end up as the 51st state, 'on our plate.' This rhetoric, while not new, escalates his annexation talk ahead of the 3 November midterm elections. The claim is unsubstantiated and likely aimed at rallying his base, but it could strain US-Canada relations if taken seriously.
