Romania's Guarantee-Return System collection rate rises to 82% in H1 2026

Romania's packaging return system, managed by RetuRO, reported an increase in collection rates to 82% for the first half of 2026, up from 79% in the prior-year period. The Ministry of Environment emphasized that while recycling is a component, the primary focus of the circular economy remains reuse.
