48-Hour Strike Called in Cibao Region; Licey, Navarrete to Join

Organizers have called a 48-hour strike in the Cibao region of the Dominican Republic, with San Francisco and Salcedo beginning today and tomorrow, and Licey and Navarrete expected to join afterward. The strike signals escalating local political or labor unrest, though specific demands and scope remain unclear. This development could disrupt regional economic activity and draw government response.
