Belgium builds otter tunnel under road in Lokeren to aid species recovery

Construction of a 40 cm fauna tunnel for otters began in Daknam-Dorp, Lokeren, at the Hierlandstraatbeek intersection. The tunnel aims to reduce road mortality and support otter recolonization in the region. Completion expected within days, weather permitting.
