Five arrested in Andhra's Chittoor for child marriage; police act on tip-off

Police in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, arrested five individuals—including the groom, his parents, the minor's mother, and a mediator—for facilitating the marriage of a minor girl. The arrests followed a neighbor's tip-off after the wedding. This enforcement action underscores ongoing efforts to curb child marriage in the region, though systemic prevalence remains a concern.
