Russian Officer Losses in Donetsk Reach New High: Mediazona Reports

Mediazona reports that Ukrainian shelling in Donetsk in August killed at least a dozen high-ranking Russian officers, including up to seven colonels, marking the highest single-incident officer toll of the war. The claim is based on open-source verification and is not independently confirmed. This signals a significant degradation of Russian command capability in the Donetsk sector.
