Hensoldt signs new radar deal with Ukraine; TR-4D LR study to extend ballistic missile detection

Hensoldt, maker of the German TRML-4D radar already deployed in Ukraine, signed a new agreement with Kyiv to enhance ballistic missile detection and jointly study operating the larger TRL-4D LR radar, whose naval variant has a range beyond 400 km. This deepens defense-industrial cooperation between Germany and Ukraine amid ongoing missile threats. The deal signals a shift toward longer-range, more capable radar systems for Ukraine's air defense.
