Large-scale groundwater reservoir identified beneath Sahara Desert

Geological surveys have confirmed a massive aquifer spanning over 2 million square kilometers beneath the Sahara, with significant concentrations in Libya. While the volume is substantial, the technical and economic feasibility of large-scale extraction remains uncertain.
