UK probes hoax bomb threats targeting 300+ schools in Northern Ireland, Scotland

Police in the UK are investigating emailed bomb threats sent to schools, with around 300 in Northern Ireland affected and emergency evacuations also reported in Scotland. The threats, signed with 'Allahu Akbar', are assessed as false, but the scale and coordinated nature suggest a deliberate disruption campaign. This is a developing situation; the source is a single news outlet, and official confirmation of the threats' origin is pending.
