Panama Education Ministry reports high rates of student depression and self-harm

Panamanian Education Minister Lucy Molinar announced that a pilot program identified significant levels of depression and self-harm among students. The ministry is concurrently advancing a new legislative framework intended to restructure the national education system around student well-being.
