French Thundart MLRS prototypes to undergo field testing in Ukraine

France is deploying prototype Thundart multiple launch rocket systems for combat testing in Ukraine to replace aging M270 LRU units. The system, developed by MBDA and Safran, features a 150km range with planned upgrades to 500km and utilizes AASM Hammer guidance technology. It remains uncertain whether this deployment is a formal government-backed program or a private industry initiative.
