Hong Kong Competition Commission mandates anti-collusion declarations for tenders

The Hong Kong Competition Commission has introduced mandatory statutory declarations for bidders to combat bid-rigging, following a major fire incident that exposed procurement vulnerabilities. The regulator is also seeking to increase the maximum prison sentence for criminalized bid-rigging from seven to 10 years to enhance deterrence.
