UK arrests near RAF Fairford may be dry run for terror plot

Five men arrested near RAF Fairford in the UK are suspected of plotting an attack, with a counter-terror expert suggesting the operation may have been reconnaissance for a future strike. The arrests signal a potential shift from planning to active surveillance of a NATO airbase, though the exact nature of the plot remains unconfirmed. This matters as RAF Fairford is a key US staging base, and any credible threat raises force-protection concerns.
