Brazil September fire outbreaks down 13.6% YoY; Amazon leads with 12,562

Brazil recorded 24,382 fire outbreaks in September, a 13.6% annual decrease, with the Amazon region accounting for over half (12,562). The decline suggests improved fire management or favorable weather, but the Amazon's high share remains a concern for deforestation and carbon emissions.
