West Nile virus cases rise to 11 in Serbia with high rate of neuroinvasive complications

Serbian health authorities have confirmed 11 cases of West Nile virus since June 1, marking an increase of five cases over the past week. The high proportion of severe, neuroinvasive forms of the disease suggests a significant public health concern, though the total case count remains relatively low.
