Finland Proposes Full Ban on Tourist Visas for Russians

Finnish Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen proposed a complete ban on tourist visas for Russian citizens, arguing it is unacceptable for Russians to travel in Europe while the war in Ukraine continues. The proposal marks a potential escalation in Finland's stance, which has previously supported restrictions but not a full ban. If adopted, it could set a precedent for other EU states and further isolate Russia, though implementation requires EU-level coordination.
