Polish Supreme Court clarifies joint mortgage liability post-divorce

The Polish Supreme Court ruled that property division in divorce does not automatically extinguish joint mortgage liability toward creditors. Even if a court awards a property to one spouse, both remain legally obligated to the lender unless the bank formally releases the other party from the debt.
