Archaeologists uncover 16th-century Hospital del Espíritu Santo remains in Lima

Excavations beneath the Santuario de Santa Rosa de Lima have revealed structural remains and human burials associated with the 451-year-old Hospital del Espíritu Santo. The discovery provides physical evidence to verify historical records regarding colonial-era medical infrastructure in Peru.
