Ambato Battles Seven Forest Fires Amid Severe Water Deficit

Seven forest fires have been reported in Ambato, Ecuador, amid a severe water deficit. One fire in Ambatillo, reported October 6, took nearly 24 hours to control and injured one person. The cluster of fires suggests heightened fire risk due to dry conditions, though the full extent of damage and containment status remains unclear.
