Romanian Energy Official Warns Cernavodă Plant Shutdown Driving Regional Price Volatility

The shutdown of the Cernavodă nuclear power plant, which previously supplied over 900 MW via fixed-price contracts, is exerting upward pressure on domestic energy prices. Ministry of Energy official Cristian Bușoi indicates that regional price stabilization depends on the resumption of operations at the facility and reduced reliance on imports.
